Keeping us all safe
Information about Coronavirus (COVID-19)
As a healthcare provider our aim is to provide the safest environment for our customers and staff. Here's what we are doing to protect us all.
Vaccinations
All of our team have now been vaccinated.
Rapid Testing
We've introduced regular rapid testing for our staff.
Social distancing
We are open for you to choose glasses and sunglasses with social distancing in place. You will be served by one member of staff who will maintain a distance from you.
Face coverings
Our staff will wear face coverings and we ask that you wear one to if you're able. You must wear a mask if you're having an eye examination.
Increased cleaning
By allowing extra time between eye exams we're better able to clean all touch-points and surfaces between appointments. Before you arrive we will have cleaned all surfaces, including glasses and sunglasses and we will be cleaning between every appointment. To help us with this we will ask you not to replace any products you touch onto our shelves, instead we will set them to one side and clean them after you leave. We might ask you to wash you hands and, of course, our team will be washing their hands more often and after every customer.
Taking the measurement we need to make your glasses
You will no doubt be used to your dispensing optician coming quite close to take measurements when fitting the glasses you've chosen. We've added shielding around our equipment and our team will be wearing face shields. We're also using new digital camera software to allow us to take the measurements we need from a distance.
Before your exam...
We'll be asking some extra questions before you begin your eye exam to screen against COVID.
