A guide based on your current frame. Not sure? Our optometrist is happy to advise.

Transitions Gen S

Our most popular adaptive lens. Transitions Gen S darkens in sunlight and clears indoors — automatically, with no effort on your part. Available in 8 fashion colours.

OutdoorsUp to 90% dark
Fade back3–5 minutes
UV protection100% UV400

Best forEveryday wear

Darkening behind a car windscreen is limited — see XTRACTIVE if you drive often.

Transitions XTRACTIVE

The performance upgrade. XTRACTIVE lenses go darker than Gen S, activate behind a car windscreen, and work in bright indoor light — ideal if you drive or are light-sensitive.

IndoorsSlight tint (comfort)
OutdoorsUp to 95% dark
DrivingActivates in car
UV protection100% UV400
ColoursGrey, Green, Brown
Best forDrivers & outdoors

Has a very slight tint indoors — this is normal and provides extra comfort in bright environments.

MAR Anti-Reflection

A multi-layer coating that eliminates surface reflections from your lenses. Light passes through cleanly instead of bouncing back as glare — making your vision sharper and your lenses almost invisible to others.

WITHOUT MAR WITH MAR COATING ✗ Glare · Reflections ✓ Clear · Reflection-free
Night drivingCuts oncoming headlight glare
ScreensReduces monitor reflections
AppearanceLenses look nearly invisible
PhotosNo flash reflections in eyes
ClarityUp to 99% light transmission
IncludesScratch & smudge resistance

Recommended for almost everyone. If you wear your glasses full time, MAR is the single biggest upgrade you can make to your lenses.

Blue Filter Coating

Selectively filters high-energy blue-violet light (380–480nm) emitted by screens, LED lighting and the sun. This is the wavelength range most associated with digital eye strain and disrupted sleep.

LIGHT ENTERING YOUR EYES FILTERED OUT PASSES THROUGH 380–480nm · HEV blue light Linked to strain & sleep disruption Strain → Comfortable
Screen timeReduces fatigue from phones & monitors
SleepLess blue light in evenings
SensitivityHelps light-sensitive eyes
LED lightingFilters harsh artificial light
IncludesMAR anti-reflection layer
Best forOffice & heavy screen users

The Blue Filter coating includes a built-in anti-reflection layer, so you get the benefits of both coatings in one. Lenses have a very slight yellow-green tint which is normal and expected.

Varifocal Lenses

We want to make sure your varifocals are absolutely right for you. Accurate measurements are essential — a tiny error can make varifocals unwearable.

For that reason, we'd love to see you in person or speak with you directly before ordering varifocal lenses.

Frame Only — Please Read

This option is for customers who intend to have the frame glazed elsewhere by their own optician.

Please be aware: the frame will be supplied with demonstration (plano) lenses which may have manufacturer engravings. These are not suitable for everyday wear and are not optically correct lenses.

If you want a frame with proper clear lenses you can wear, please go back and choose Clear / Plano Lenses instead.
